About Me:
LIMSIACO ANCESTRY - In the year
1574 the force of Chinese Pirateer Limahong attempted to take Manila.
His fleet of 66 chinese junks was deposed by the Spanish Armada. The
Ming Dynasty chose not to intervene, Limahongs forces began their
retreat. Eventually, his men were banished from the South China Sea,
into the Sulu Sea. Some of the men scattered throughout the island of
Negros.
SIACO LIM - Originally from Amoy-China, he was a Captain in Limahongs
fleet. In his youth he was adventurous, as he grew older he sought a
place he could settle, and call home. At that time Himamaylan was the
Capitol of Negros Occidental. Since he had experience as a Sea Captain,
Himamaylans Governor named Siaco Captain of his Vessel. While Siaco
lived in Himamaylan he fell in love with a girl. Her name was Ana
Saligan from Ilog. Her father, a devout catholic, could not condone the
relationship, unless they were married. Siaco Lim's love for Ana
overwelmed him, he submitted to having a Roman Catholic Wedding. He was
baptized as a Christian in Iloilo, his name was changed to Vicente
Limsiaco. Their union blessed they eventually had nine (9) daughters
and Five (5) sons.
Below are the places where they established their ancestry.
6 daughters and 4 sons Himamaylan
1 daughter - San Enrique, 2 daughters and 1 son - Bago. In later years
